The Book Hammock (Eleanor)

There are a lot of things I can say about this book: it's written well, the world created is insanely imaginative, the characters are appealing and mostly engaging. One this I can't say is that it swept me away. The first half was very slow ad dragging for me. This was improved after I passed the halfway mark (or around there).Aria is living in a sheltered world, where everything is artificial. There are realms to help you experience everything you can think of, but it's all synthetic. Your actual senses are dulled to almost extinction. When a juvenile attempt to live something real turns bad, she is thrown out of her world and into the wild. That's where she meets Perry (for the second time, the first is not really a meeting) and they firm an alliance. Perry is on a mission to rescue his nephew from the Dwellers. He can't barter for him without Aria's help. I truly hope the next book flows better because the premise, the writing and the world created really are unique. Solid 3.5 stars.
